The Australian Council of Film Societies (ACOFS) is comprised of Federations of Film Societies which are based around Australia. Each Federation is responsible for the interests of their respective affiliated Film Societies..

Member Film Societies are not-for-profit organizations whose members pay an annual or semi annual subscription. Their principle aim to show films mostly on 16mm or video.
